Grigor Khanjyan is commemorated in Armenia’s 2026 stamp issue “Prominent Armenians 100th Anniversary of Grigor Khanjyan”. The issue celebrates the centenary of the birth of one of Armenia’s most important 20th-century artists, known for his paintings, illustrations, murals and historical-themed tapestries.
The 2026 release consists of two postage stamps, featuring Khanjyan’s artistic legacy and issued under the “Prominent Armenians” series. The stamps have denominations of 320 AMD and 380 AMD, with a print run of 10,000 copies each. The issue honours Khanjyan’s contribution to Armenian culture, including his celebrated historical works such as Vardanank and the History of Armenia mural triptych.
