The World Figure Skating Championships are an annual top competition organized by the International Skating Union, where the best competitors in the world compete in individuals, sports pairs
and dance pairs.
The register of two stamps for the World Figure Skating Championships in Prague captures two main motifs – the dynamic silhouettes of figure skaters and the characteristic panorama of historic Prague. The author was inspired by the visual style of the championship – the triangular stylization of the ice surface and the characteristic combination of blue and pink. The entire issue works with the principle of negative space.
