In 2025, Magyar Posta will celebrate the 75th Magyar Posta Film Festival. Miners' Day • In honour of Tatabánya, a new stamp with a coupon will be added to the range of thematic personal stamps. The thematic personal stamp was designed by graphic artist Imre Benedek in 12,250 copies. Subject to stocks, it can be purchased at Filaposta, philatelic specialist services and www.posta.hu. One of the most beautiful traditions of the city of Tatabánya, the Miner's Day, will be organized by the city for the 75th time this year. Together, they remember, pay tribute and celebrate Tatabánya's mining past, which lives not only on the pages of history books, but is part of everyday life in Tatabánya – in the city's locations, history and local community. The Ranzinger Vince Lookout Tower is closely related to the holiday, which was originally built in 1980 as a mine tower on Csúcs Hill in memory of the miners who died in the 1978 mining accident. It was completely renovated in 2008, when it was officially named after the mining engineer Vince Ranzinger (1856–1933), who, as the mine director of the Hungarian General Coal Mine Co. in Tatabánya, introduced innovations such as sludge technology, which laid the foundations for the development of local coal mining. Climbing up the 156 steps of the 30-meter-high lookout tower, an unparalleled panorama unfolds in front of us: in clear weather, we can see Tata, Környe, Oroszlány, and we can even see towards Komárom. The central venue of the 2025 Miners' Day is the May 1 Park, where visitors can take part in mining commemorations, fantastic concerts, cultural and children's programs, a craft fair, and can also enjoy a number of gastronomic experiences for three days. The 75th Miners' Day in Tatabánya is not just an event, but it is the beating of the heart of the city and the community, remembering the past and passing on mining traditions to future generations. The main element of the stamp section is the Vincent Ranzinger lookout tower. The imprint of the stamp features symbols related to mining: a graphic composition consisting of a miner's chair, hammer and lamp.
